At her home on South First street, Bellwood, after an illness of several weeks with lung trouble, Miss Tillie Orr died on Tuesday afternoon at 4.30 o'clock. She was born in Sinking valley and her early life was spent there, but for the past twenty-six years she had been a resident of Bellwood. When quite young she united with the Presbyterian church and remained through all her life a faithful and active member of that church. She was of a quiet, home-loving disposition and her intimate friends knew best those traits of character that made her beloved and now greatly mourned. She was sustained through her illness by her Christian faith and died in the full assurance of a better life in the world to come. Besides her friends at home and in Bellwood, a large circle of relatives and acquaintances throughout the county, especially in Tyrone and Sinking valley, will regret to learn of her death. She is survived by three sisters: Mrs. Margaret Shaffer, of Bellwood; Misses Mary and Rebecca, at home. The funeral service will be held this afternoon at 2.50 o'clock, conducted by her pastor, Rev. D. N. Dobson. Interment in Logan Valley cemetery. The Tyrone Daily Herald, Thursday, January 21, 1909
