OSTER Of 821 Park avenue, Tyrone, died at the home at 1.15 o'clock Saturday morning following an illness of one week of pneumonia. He was born Nov. 28, 1861, in Cumberland valley, the son of Jonathan and Mary (Otto) Oster, and on Feb. 18, 1883, married Emily Akers. Surviving are three children, Miss Rhoda, at home, J. Earl of Tyrone and Robert of Baltimore, and seven grandchildren. He was a member of the First Lutheran church and taught Bible class in that church for many years. He was also a member of the church council. Mr. Oster was a graduate of Valparaiso university with a degree in chemistry and moved to Tyrone in 1900, obtaining work on the former Tyrone division, later becoming a bridge and building inspector, which position he held at time of retirement in 1936.
