ARTHUR C. OSTRANDER

Of 316 2nd Ave., died at 5:03 a.m. today, Aug. 2, 1976, at Mercy 
Hospital, where he was admitted July 20. Mr. Ostrander retired Jan. 5, 
1968, from the Pennsylvania Railroad as a car inspector with 47 years' 
service. He was born Jan. 9, 1904, in Bellefonte, a son of Oscar and 
Bessie (McKinley) Ostrander, and married Catharine N. Burns, who died 
March 25, 1972. Surviving are four children, Arthur C. Jr. of 
Huntingdon and David S., Mrs. Dorothy I. Edmundson and Ormond O. of 
Altoona; 11 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, a great-great-
grandchild and seven brothers and sisters, Joseph, Malcolm and Betty of 
Altoona, Guy of Lewistown, Mrs. Louise Crumm of York, Mrs. Beatrice 
Rush of Bellefonte and Mrs. Leah Wietrick of Denver, Colo. Mr. 
Ostrander was a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ, Altoona. 
Friends will be received in the Gilden Barton Funeral Home from
