CATHARINE N. OSTRANDER 

Of 316 2nd Ave., died at 7:45 p.m. Saturday, March 25, 1972, in Altoona 
Hospital, where she was admitted Jan. 7. She was born Sept. 16, 1902, 
in Altoona, a daughter of William T. and Emma (Weyandt) Burns, and May 
26, 1921, in the Trinity Reformed Church was married to Arthur C. 
Ostrander by the Rev. Roy Runkle. Surviving are her husband, four 
children, Mrs. Dorothy I. Edmundson, David S. and Ormond O. of Altoona 
and Arthur C. Jr. of Huntingdon; 10 grandchildren, five great-
grandchildren and a brother, Clyde of Altoona. Mrs. Ostrander was a 
member of the Trinity United Church of Christ, the John Wolf Chapter of 
War Mothers and the Delphi Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star. Friends 
will be received in the Barton-Stevens Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m. 
today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow.
