Mrs. Melissa Ott, wife of Philip Ott, of McKee died at the family home on Saturday night at 11 o'clock, of a complication of diseases, after an illness that extended over a period of several years. While not confined to her home all the time, she was not in the best of health and suffered severe sick spells frequently. She was the daughter of David, deceased, and Isabella Lingenfelter and was born in Freedom township, 54 years ago. She is survived by her husband and her aged mother, now past 90 years and by one sister, Mrs. Agnes Corl, of Taylor township and by two brothers, Austin Lingenfelter of Freedom township and Harry Lingenfelter. She was a lifelong member of the East Freedom Lutheran church and a regular attendant at the services when her health permitted. She was a kind neighbor in the community where she lived and a host of friends will mourn the loss of a kind and helpful friend. Altoona Times, Altoona, Pa., Monday Morning, October 28, 1918
