ALPHA DORA OTTO

Long Illness Proves Fatal

  Miss Alpha Dora Otto, 86, a writer of songs and poems, formerly residing at 
305 Maple Ave. and in Tipton, died at 12:05 a.m. yesterday in Valley View Home, 
where she had been a guest since last September, after an extended illness.
  She was born at Ganister Oct. 1, 1881, a daughter of Samuel and Frances Ann 
(Koon) Otto. Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Lilly Reigh of Williamsburg, and 
several nieces and nephews.
  Miss Otto was a member of the Fairview United Methodist Church and earlier a 
member of the Tipton Methodist Church for many years. She was a graduate of the 
Moody Bible Institute. Some of her works were published in a volume of lyrics 
and poetry.
  Friends will be received in the Laughlin-Carn Funeral Home from 2 to 4 and 7 
to 9 p.m. tomorrow.
