CHARLES E. OTTO

Of 817 7th Ave., died at 7.45 p.m. yesterday in Mercy Hospital, where 
he was admitted May 15, after an extended illness. He was born in 
Altoona Dec. 18, 1879, a son of Henry H. and Mary (Wesley) Otto. 
Surviving are two brothers, Wallace W. and George A. of the city. A 
son, Harry, preceded him in death. Mr. Otto was a member of Christ 
Lutheran Church, the Eagles and Knights of Pythias. He retired in 1942 
from the Altoona Works flue shop as a pipefitter and subsequently was 
employed as a ticket taker at the Olympic Theater. Friends will be 
received at the Stevens Mortuary after 7 p.m. today.
