Mrs. Hannah Mary Owens, for many years well known in Tyrone and more recently of Juniata, died at 9:30 o'clock yesterday morning in the borough home of a daughter, Mrs. J. E. Piper, of 110 Tenth avenue. Mrs. Owens was 80 years of age on April 13 and was the widow of the late David G. Owens, of Tyrone. Mrs. Owens was born at Warriorsmark and during her married life was highly esteemed as a resident of Tyrone. She was from childhood a consistent Christian and during the last thirty-five years was a member of the First Methodist Episcopal church of Tyrone. Since the death of her husband thirteen years ago, the beloved mother found a pleasant home with the daughter, Mrs. J. E. Piper, in Juniata. Other children surviving are Mrs. John M. Hamer, of Tyrone, and W. P. Owens, of Philadelphia. The deceased lady is also survived by one sister and two brothers - Mrs. Jackson Armstrong, of Altoona; W. P. Irvin, of Duncansville, and R. C. Irvin, of Hollidaysburg. Service over the remains will be held in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Piper on Monday morning at 10 o'clock and will be conducted by the Rev. Alexander Lamberson, of the First Methodist Episcopal church of Juniata. At 11 o'clock on Monday morning the funeral cortege will leave for Tyrone in a special car over the Logan Valley line. The remains will be laid to rest in the Tyrone Grandview cemetery, after a funeral service in which the Rev. Mr. Lamberson and the Rev. A. S. Fasick, of Tyrone, will officiate.
