Longenecker, 19th st., died unexpectedly on Saturday at 10:15 p.m. at Tyrone Hospital. She died shortly after arriving at the hospital by ambulance. She was born Nov. 22, 1889, at San Pierre Patti, Province of Messina, Sicily. A daughter of Pasquale and Carmelo Cafferelli Mastropaolo. She was married in Sicily in 1925, to Vincent Palermo. He died in 1942. She had resided in Tyrone since her marriage. Surviving are two sons and two daughters, Eugene, at home; Mrs. Philip (Mary) Scaglione and Mrs. Vincentina Gaeta, both of Altoona; Joseph D,, of Vincentown, N.J. a brother, Samuel, of Italy, and a sister, Mrs. Rose Caffarelli, of Buffalo, N.Y., also survive, as do 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was proceeded in death by a son Raymond, and a daughter Carmelina. She was a member of St. Matthew Roman Catholic Church and the Tyrone Lodge of the Sons of Italy. Requiem Mass will be sung Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Matthew Church, the Rt. Rev. Msgr., Patrick D. Harkins celebrant. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends will be received at the Feller Memorial Funeral Home today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and until the hour of the Mass on Tuesday.
