Parker, 83, of Rutherford Heights, passed away Sunday, May 6, 2007 in the Carolyn Croxton Slane Residence, Susquehanna Twp. Born May 18, 1923, in Tyrone, he was the son of the late Ralph and Carrie (Miller) Parker and widower of H. Marie Parker. He was a retired underwriter for Nationwide Insurance Company and a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. A veteran of the US Army Air Corp, he was a veteran of WWII and served in the National Guard from 1955-1958. He was a life member of BPOE, Tyrone; a member of Rutherford VFW, Post 1213 and Lawnton American Legion. He is survived by four daughters: Deanna Joan Diodato, Suzy Parker, Arlene Parker and Elizabeth Parker, all of Harrisburg; one brother, William T. Parker of Valparaiso, IN; one sister, Jane Morrisey of Tyrone; four grandchildren: Dr. Aaron Diodato, Michael Diodato, Mark Diodato and Molly Diodato and two great-grandchildren: Nicholas and Madeline Diodato. A viewing was held Wednesday, May 9, 2007 in the Neill Funeral Home, Harrisburg and services were held Thursday, May 10, 2007 at Christ United Methodist Church, Harrisburg. Burial was at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville on Friday, May 11, 2007. The family requests memorial donations be made to Keystone Residence, North 66th Street, Harrisburg, Pa. 17111.
