PARKS Of Pinecroft, Box 771, Altoona RD 3, died at 6 a.m. today, April 14, 1977, at Altoona Hospital of an apparent heart attack. She was born Dec. 13, 1913, in Cleveland, Ohio, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Mahlig, and married William W. Parks in November 1941 in Cleveland. Surviving are her husband; a son, Glenn Bowman of Columbia, Md.; six stepdaughters, Mrs. Naomi Filer of Altoona, Mrs. Alma Lauver, Mrs. Edna Decker and Mrs. Madaline Harpster of Pinecroft and Mrs. Betty McCaully and Mrs. Verna Hornberger of Blairsville; 21 grandchildren; 63 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson and a brother, Carl of Cleveland. Mrs. Parks was a member of Salem Lutheran Church, Pinecroft, where she served as superintendent and teacher of the Sunday School. She also served as organist and choir director. She was a member of the Auxiliary of the Pinecroft Volunteer Fire Company. Friends will be received in the Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Juniata, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and in the church from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Altoona Mirror, Altoona, Pa., April 14, 1977
