BOTH VICTIMS OF ACCIDENTS The Former Was Crushed Between Two Cars and the Latter Died from Effects of Burns. THE ACCIDENT LIST A LARGE ONE James Cleveland Parks, aged 16 years, of Pinecroft, was fatally injured at the new classification yard at Elizabeth Furnace at 6 o'clock yesterday morning. He was crushed between two cars and as a result died at the hospital a short time later, at 8.10 o'clock. Young Parks was working as a brakeman for Railroad Contractor Kerbaugh in building the new yard. He was standing on the bumper of a dump car and attempted to make a coupling with another, and in doing so slipped. He fell between the cars as they came together and had both legs crushed below the knees and a compound fracture of the right thigh. He also sustained internal injuries. The injured boy was removed to the hospital by Dr. Lingenfelter, where an examination showed his injuries to be fatal. He was made as comfortable as possible and sank rapidly until he passed away. Coroner McCartney will conduct an inquest this afternoon. Parks was a son of Emanuel Parks, of Pinecroft. The remains will be taken to his home this morning.
