Parks, died suddenly at the home of her son, the Rev. Ezra L. Parks, 1433 Sixth Avenue, Juniata, Altoona, Sunday Oct. 5, 1947, at 2 a. m. She was born Dec. 2, 1865 at Fairmount, Md., a daughter of Wesley and Margaret Landon. Her husband died Nov. 2, 1925. Mrs. Parks is well known to many residents of Huntingdon County by reason of the fact that her son filled three pastorates in this area. He was pastor at Ennisville in 1925, at Cassville, in 1926-27 and at James Creek in 1929-30. Surviving are three sons, Elmer Parks of Harrisburg, Melvin Parks of Shamokin and Rev. Ezra L. Parks of Altoona. Also surviving are a sister, Mrs. W. W. Fisher of Milton, Del.; a brother, Edward L. Landon of Marion Station, Md.; six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Mrs. Parks was a former member of the Yeagertown Methodist Church. Funeral services were held at the Baker Funeral Home, Third and Maclay Streets, in Harrisburg, this afternoon at 3:30 o clock.
