CHARLES A. PARSONS

  Charles A. Parsons, 90, formerly of 2501 Dove Avenue, Altoona, died Friday 
afternoon, Feb. 1, 2002, at Beverly Healthcare-Hillview.
  He was born June 28, 1911, in Altoona, a son of Charles S. and Mabel 
(Lewis) Parsons.  He was twice married, first to Harriet E. Estright, July 8, 
1930, in Cumberland, Md.  She died Nov. 29, 1964.  He then married Thelma G. 
Harr December 27, 1964, in Altoona.  She died Oct. 24, 1984.
  Mr. Parsons was of the Methodist faith.  He was an Army Air Corps veteran 
of World War II, serving from 1943-46.
  He retired as an office worker from Atlantic Richfield Co. in 1970 after 30 
years of service.
  Surviving are a stepson, Walter Saylor, of Silver Spring, Md., and a niece, 
Judy Banja of Atlanta.
  At the request of the deceased, there will be no viewing.
  Interment at Blair Memorial Park, Bellwood.  Arrangement by the Daniel R. 
Myers Funeral Home.
