MERRILL PARSONS

  Mr. Parsons, 62, of 24826 Via San Marco, Laguna Hills, Calif., formerly of 
Altoona, died Thursday morning, June 10, 1982, in his home, after an extended 
illness.
  Mr. Parsons retired as a Major from the Air Force, after 22 years' service.  
He also had been operations manager of May Co. store, San Bernardino, Calif., 
for 10 years.
  He was born July 8, 1919, in Altoona, the son of Charles and Mabel (Lewis) 
Parsons, and married Dorothy Oschea, who died in August 1981.
  Surviving are five children and eight grandchildren.
  Also surviving are a brother and sister: Charles A. and Mrs. Sarah Rogers 
of Altoona.
  Mr. Parsons was an Air Force veteran of World War II.
  Interment will be made in San Bernardino.
