PARSONS Mrs. Parsons, 90 of Valley view Home, formerly of 125 4th Avenue, died at 3:10 p.m. Friday, August 19, 1983, after an extended illness. She was born June 29, 1893, in Dunlo, Cambria Co., a daughter of Joseph and Mary Jane Turley, and on June 25, 1919, in Altoona, she married Ira Daniel Parsons, who died Jan 20, 1981. Surviving are four children, Phyllis Walker of Tyrone, Virginia Hunter of Hollidaysburg, and Shirley Ross and Daniel, both of Altoona; 16 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a brother, Joseph, of Fort Wayne, Ind. Mrs. Parsons was a member of Second Avenue United Methodist Church and the Ever Ready Sunday School class. She was a member of the Daughters of America. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Daniel R. Myers Funeral Home. PARSONS - Service for Myrtle E. Parsons of Valley View Home, formerly of 125 4th Ave., will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Daniel R. Myers Funeral Home by the Rev. John H. Witmer. Interment in Blair Memorial Park, Bellwood.
