PARSONS Mrs. Parsons, 75, of 2501 Dove Ave., died at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21, 1984, in Epworth Manor, Tyrone, following an extended illness. Mrs. Parsons retired as an inspector from GTE Sylvania, in 1971, after 28 years' service. She was born Feb. 3, 1909, in Altoona, the daughter of Sanford and Agnes (Bendle) Harr, and was twice married, first, in 1929, to Cloyd L. Saylor, who died in 1960, then, on Dec. 27, 1965, to Charles A. Parsons. Surviving are her husband, three children: Cloyd L. Saylor Jr. of Bellefonte, Walt P. Saylor of Silver Spring, Md. and Dottie Schmelzlen of Altoona; eight grandchildren and three great-grandsons. Also surviving is a sister, Evelyn Alberts of Jacksonville, Fla. Mrs. Parsons was a member of Second Avenue United Methodist Church. She was a former member of the Order of Eastern Star. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the Daniel R. Myers Funeral Home. PARSONS - Services for Thelma G. Parsons of 2501 Dove Ave. will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Daniel R. Myers Funeral Home, by the Rev. John H. Witmer.
