Thomas Pates, an aged citizen of Millville, died at his residence, 3012 Walnut avenue, at ten minutes of 6 o'clock last evening, of diseases due to old age. The deceased was aged 77 years, 9 months and 8 days. He is survived by his wife, one son, Joshua, and six daughters. The deceased was a veteran of the late war, having served in company C, Two Hundred and Fifth Pennsylvania volunteers. In his early life he was a forgeman by occupation, though he had been an invalid and blind for many years. He was a member of the Millville Dunkard church. The funeral cortege will leave the late residence at 1 o'clock tomorrow afternoon and proceed to the Carson Valley Dunkard church, where funeral services will be held at 2.30 o'clock; interment in Carson Valley cemetery.
