Local Brevities.

  Joseph Patiao, a native of Syria, died at 5 o'clock yesterday morning 
at his residence, 1712 Eleventh avenue, after a three months' illness, 
from consumption.  He was aged 28 years and leaves a wife in Syria.  
The funeral will take place this morning at 7 o'clock.  The services 
will be held in St. John's Catholic church and the interment will be 
made in St. John's cemetery.
