Mr. Patterson was a son of the late James H. and Annie E. Patterson, and was born at the Yellow Springs, March 1864, he resided in Canoe Valley until 1883, when he went to Texas where he has had his home ever since. He was a well known and prominent citizen of El Paso, being a dealer in cattle and traveled extensively through New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, Idaho, Kansas and other western states. He is survived by a wife and one daughter in El Paso, and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Maude M. Hewitt, of Pittsburgh, G. Guy Patterson, of Edgewood Park, Charles A. Patterson, of Williamsburg, Mrs. Edith Hileman, of Rahway, N.J., Mrs. H. L. Nix, of El Paso, Frank T. of Glendale, Arizona, Robert S., of Crown King, Arizona, and James Lynn, formerly of A.E.F., in France, but now of Denver, Colorado. Burial was made at El Paso. Altoona Times, Altoona, Pa., Tuesday Morning, December 24, 1918
