MRS. SARAH ACKER PAUL

  Mrs. Sarah B. Acker was born near Martinsburg, Blair county, Pa., December 
22, 1843, and departed this life September 9, 1917, aged 73 years, 8 months 
and 17 days.
  Deceased was the daughter of John and Elizabeth Acker and was united in 
marriage to Isaac Paul January 20, 1870.  To this union were born five 
children:  Ida Mae at home, Mrs. Eva Holsinger of Lindsay, Cal.; Mrs. Maggie 
Hoak of Brookville, Ill.; and Irvin, of Polo, Ill.  One child, Alonsa, 
preceded her in death.
  Mrs. Paul united with the Lutheran church when quite young, transferring 
her membership from the church at Brookville, Ill., to that of Polo, Ill.
  Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Keller of Polo, Ill.  Interment 
also at Polo.  She was a kind and affectionate mother, always doing for her 
children.
