After a lingering illness from consumption Nelis Pearson died at 5 o'clock Sunday evening at his residence, Thirteenth avenue and Twenty- first street. Mr. Pearson was a native of Sweden and had been in this country only about four years. About three years ago he expended his little savings in bringing his wife out to this country, and on account of delicate health and increased expenditures had never been able to accumulate any money since. About fourteen weeks ago he had to quit his employment in the company's boiler shop because of his enfeebled condition, and he never rallied. Through the kindness of the neighbors the family have been provided with what was necessary for their comfort, and latterly Mr. Pearson's countrymen gave substantial aid and assistance to the sick man and his family. A short time previous to his death Mr. Pearson united with the First Lutheran church. The family left to mourn his death consists of his wife and two small children.
