PEFFER, Assistant business manager of the Penn Central Light & Power company, died at his home, 103 Aldrich avenue, Llyswen, at 2 o'clock yesterday morning of a complication of diseases after an illness of seven months. He was born in Carlisle, Jan. 29, 1891, a son of Frank and Sarah (Mower) Peffer and was a graduate of Pennsylvania State college in the class of 1914. Mr. Peffer came to Altoona in 1916 and entered the service of the Pennsylvania Railroad company as an electrical engineer. Three years later he entered the Penn Central service and had been employed by the power company since that time. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Irene (Pressel) Peffer; two daughters, Sarah Jane and Ann Elizabeth Peffer at home; one sister and three brothers, Mrs. Amy Line and Wilbur Peffer of Carlisle, Melvin Peffer of Iowa, and Parker Peffer of California. He was a member of the First Presbyterian church, of Logan lodge, No 490, F. & A. M., the Harrisburg consistory and of Jaffa temple. Funeral services will be held at the late home at 2:30 o'clock tomorrow afternoon with Rev. Dr. J. W. Francis officiating. Interment will be made in Alto Reste cemetery.
