Alma M. Peoples

  Mrs. Peoples, 90, formerly of 215 Pine St, Hollidaysburg, died at 12:05 p.m.
Thursday, Jan. 25, 1990, at Garvey Manor, Hollidaysburg, after an extended 
illness. 
  She was born Feb. 19, 1899, in Hollidaysburg. the daughter of John H. and Anna 
M. (McGuire) Shoemaker, and Nov. 24, 1932, in Hollidaysburg, married Thomas G. 
Peoples Sr., who died Oct. 1, 1972. 
  Surviving are two children; Thomas G. Jr. of Altoona and Mary Virginia 
Castellana of Seal Beach, Calif.; seven grandchildren, and two great-grandsons. 
  Mrs. Peoples was a member of St Michael's Catholic Church, Hollidaysburg. She 
was also a member of the St. Michael's Guild, former president of the Blair 
County Women's Republican Club and a former board member of the Home Nursing 
Agency of Blair County.  
  Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Stevens
Mortuary. 
  Interment at Greenlawn Cemetery, Hollidaysburg. 
  She was preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy Louise Morrell, who died July 
9, 1979.
