Peters, a former resident of Bellwood for a number of years, but recently of Vineland, N.J., were shocked Thursday to hear of his death that morning. A telegram to his daughter, Mrs. Ira Miller, announced the sad fact, but gave no details and Mrs. Miller knows only that he was suffering from carbuncles on the neck, but had no intimation of a serious illness. Mr. Peters was a carpenter and a citizen held in high esteem. He was about 52 years of age. Surviving are his wife and three children: Mrs. Miller, of Bellwood; Emory and Jesse, at home. He was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church, always faithful in his attendance at the services, greatly missed when he moved from Bellwood. Mr. and Mrs. Miller left last evening for Vineland, to attend the funeral. Altoona Tribune, Altoona, Pa., Friday Morning, November 17, 1916
