PFEIFFER Of 1103 Broadway, Juniata, a former foreman in the Altoona scale shops and a veteran of the Spanish-American war, died at his home at 11.30 o'clock yesterday morning after an extended illness. He was born in Altoona on April 5, 1872, a son of John F. and Catherine (Bradshaw) Pfeiffer, and on Oct. 8, 1892, married Mary Frances Christy at Gallitzin. Mr. Pfeiffer was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic church, a charter member of the Knights of Columbus, and one of the organizers of the old Central Pennsylvania band. He served with the 21st infantry volunteers in the Spanish-American war and his father was a veteran of the Civil war. After study in the local parochial schools he graduated from the University of Pittsburgh, studying mechanical engineering there. Surviving are his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Hugh P. Lynch of Bellemeade and Mrs. Julian B. Beard of Lexington, Ky.; two grandchildren and one brother, John Pfeiffer of Salem, Va. Friends are being received at the home after 7 o'clock this evening. PFEIFFER - Funeral services for Isadore F. Pfeiffer of 1103 Broadway, Juniata, will be held with requiem mass sung by Rt. Ref. Msgr. Bernard Conley Saturday morning at 9 o'clock at the Holy Rosary Catholic church. Interment in St. John's cemetery. Friends are being received at the home. Please omit flowers.
