Local Brevities.

  Walter Franklin, aged 5 years, 6 months and 10 days, son of Paul and 
Mary Pfeiffer, of Newburg, on the Dry Gap road, died at fifteen minutes 
past 12 o'clock on Sunday night, of membraneous croup.  The funeral 
will take place from the parents' residence this afternoon.  Services 
will be conducted at the house by Rev. E. D. Weigle at 2 o'clock, at 
the conclusion of which the interment will be made in Oak Ridge 
cemetery.
