She came here Saturday evening to spend Christmas with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Stewart, of 2820 Seventh avenue. Mrs. Phillips arose yesterday morning and was apparently in good health. She later complained of being ill and suffered several convulsions. She lapsed into a comatose state and was admitted to the hospital at 9 o'clock. Her husband came to the city with her, but departed Monday for the Quaker City. He was informed of her sudden death late last night and will arrive this morning. Born in Philadelphia, about 29 years ago, Mrs. Phillips was the daughter of Richard and Annie Stewart. She was wedded to Mr. Phillips last June and was one of the east side's popular young women. Her parents survive with three brothers, Thomas, Richard and James Stewart, all of this city, and two sisters, Mrs. Isabella Bloom, Altoona, and Mrs. Jennie Dunlap, of Akron, O. She was a member of the Catholic church. Funeral arrangements will be announced later. Altoona Tribune, Altoona, Pa., Thursday Morning, December 28, 1916
