Pickering, age 90, formerly of the Pennsylvania House and a guest at Epworth Manor died Friday, May 18, 2007 at 2 p.m. at the Manor. She was born February 12, 1917 in Bellwood, the daughter of Charles M. and Bessie Wiser Snyder and on March 27, 1954 was married to Carl O. Pickering who preceded her in death December 2, 1997. She is survived by a niece, Pam Weyer of Tyrone, and a nephew, Terry Beyer of Warriors Mark, and several other nieces and nephews and was the last of her immediate family. She was a 50+ year member of the Church of the Good Shepherd where she had served on the Administrative Board, as a Sunday School teacher and in the choir. At one time she had been employed as a sewing machine operator at Reliance Manufacturing Co. and had served as an apartment building manager in both Texas and Ohio. Funeral service for Arderine M. Pickering will be Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at 2 p.m. at the Richard H. Searer Funeral Home Inc. with Pastor Andrew T. Bradley officiating. Interment will follow in Blair Memorial Park. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday for one hour prior to the service.
