CHARLES E. PIERCE

  Charles E. Pierce, for many years a resident of the city, died at the 
Altoona hospital at 6:35 o'clock Saturday evening of lobar pneumonia.  
He was admitted to the institution on Tuesday, February 20, and 
gradually grew worse until he passed away.  Deceased was aged 63 years 
and for several years was employed as a porter at the Hotel Richelieu.  
He is survived by two children.  The funeral arrangements have not been 
completed and will be announced later.

Funeral Notice.

  The funeral of Charles E. Pierce, who died at the hospital Saturday 
evening, will take place this afternoon.  Services will be conducted in 
the Lafferty & Tobias chapel at 2 o'clock by Rev. Bridegum.  Interment 
in Oak Ridge cemetery.
