JAMES PIPER.

  James Piper, formerly of this city, and a brother of Charles A. Piper, 
Third ward constable, died at St. Anthony's hospital, Columbus, O., at 2 
p.m. Tuesday.  His brother departed yesterday to attend the funeral which 
will be held Saturday.  The deceased was a son of John L. and Elizabeth 
Piper, both deceased, and was aged 40 years.
