PIPER Of 1127 5th Ave., Duncansville, died at his home at 5.30 p.m. Saturday after an extended illness. He was born Sept. 8, 1883, in Duncansville, a son of George and Elizabeth (Stover) Piper, and married Laura Harker in 1908. Surviving are his wife, seven children, Harry A., Raymond C., Robert W. and John S. of Duncansville, Mrs. Effie Richards of Hollidaysburg, Mrs. Helen White of Richmond, Va., and Charles R. of Altoona; 17 grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Cora Cornelius of Altoona. He retired in 1938 as a boilermaker for the Pennsylvania Railroad and was of the Lutheran faith. Friends are being received at the Liebegott Funeral Home, Duncansville.
