FUNERAL NOTICES

  Private funeral services for the late John F. Piper will be held at 
the late home in Northwood tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock by Rev. E. 
G. Sawyer, pastor of the United Brethren church.  The cause of death 
was neuralgia.  Deceased was a well known employe of Tyrone Division, 
P.R.R. and was born in Franklin county June 12, 1859.  He was united in 
marriage in 1880 with Miss Elizabeth McKim and had lived in this 
vicinity since 1901.  He was a member of the First United Brethren 
church.  Surviving are his wife, a number of sons and daughters and 
several brothers and sisters.
