SUSAN PIPER Mrs. Susan Piper, widow of Enoch Piper, of Williamsburg, died at 1.30 o'clock Sunday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Cora S. Riley, 623 Front street, Williamsburg, of diseases incident to old age. She was aged 84 years, observing her birthday anniversary just four days prior to her death. She was twice married, her first husband being Andrew Reid. She was a highly respected resident of Williamsburg for many years and was of a lovable and kind disposition, being held in high esteem by all who knew her. She was a member of the Lutheran church, Williamsburg. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Riley, with whom she resided, and Mrs. George W. Clapper, of South Lakemont; also by three sisters, Mrs. J. B. Reid, of Lakemont Terrace; Mrs. Martin L. Young, Altoona, and Mrs. Matilda Thurston, Clearfield, together with 14 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the daughter's residence at Williamsburg. Clearfield Progress, Thursday, February 24, 1921, page 1
