Mrs. Bessie Pletcher, wife of Joseph G. Pletcher, of Bellwood, died Dec. 1, 
1943, at Brougeville, PA while visiting the home of a stepson, Joseph 
Pletcher.  Death was attributed to a cerebral hemorrhage.  She was born March 
29, 1875, at Alexandria, Huntingdon County, daughter of George and Mary 
(McComb) Estep.  Mrs. Pletcher was previously married to John H. McGlinsey who 
died in 1931.  Six children of that union survive, two brothers, a sister and a 
half-brother.  Mrs. Pletcher married Joseph G. Pletcher in 1935 and he survives 
with the following stepchildren; Mrs. Elvira Kennedy of Bellwood; Mrs. H.T. 
Harvey, of Millivale; Mrs. Job Bowers of Altoona; Grant C. Pletcher of Crete, 
IL, and Joseph D. Pletcher at whose home she died.  Also five grandchildren, 
two of them being in the service in the South Pacific.  Member of Bellwood 
Methodist Church.
