PLUMMER A veteran of the civil war, died at the National Soldiers' home at Dayton, O., last evening of diseases incident to old age. Deceased was 72 years and for many years made his home in this city. The news was received last night by telegram by his family. The remains will be brought to this city for interment. Altoona Mirror, Altoona, Pa., August 22, 1906 WILLIAM L. PLUMMER Whose death at the soldiers' home at Dayton, O., was briefly referred to in yesterday's Mirror, was born at Tyrone Forges and was aged 72 years. He resided many years in Altoona and was one of the first Pennsylvania railroad trainmen. During the war he served in the Forty- ninth Pennsylvania volunteers. He is survived by the following children: W. C. and Elis of Allegheny, Clair G. of Cleveland, Mrs. F. - -? Bingman?, Irene Plummer of Altoona, also by one sister Mrs. H. Kate ----- of Altoona, and these brothers George W. of Hollidaysburg, J. L. of -----?, Jacob E. and John of Tyrone, and Eli of Altoona. The remains will be brought to this city tomorrow and on Friday afternoon interment will be made in Fairview cemetery.
