ALOIS POESCHL

Of 1412-3rd Ave., died at 10 p.m. Saturday in the Altoona Hospital, where he was 
admitted Thursday, after a brief illness.  He was born in Bavaria, Germany, May 
12, 1890, a son of John and Marie Poeschl, and married Anna M. Gehl, who 
preceded him in death.  Surviving are two children, Mrs. Marcella Rauch and 
Harold of the city; three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, a brother 
Alfons in Utica, S.D., and two brothers in Germany.  He was a member of St. 
Mary's Catholic Church, the Bavarian Aid Society, Unter Uns and P.R.R. Retired 
Men, having retired as a car builder.  Mr. Poeschl will repose in the T. J. 
Stevens Funeral Home after 7 p.m. today.
