MRS. SUSAN JENNIE POET,

Wife of Michael Poet, died last evening at 7:20 o'clock, following a 
stroke of paralysis, sustained a week ago. The death occurred at the 
Poet home, 1725 Eleventh avenue. Mrs. Poet was born in Newry on April 
28, 1858, and was a lifelong resident of Altoona. She is survived by 
her aged mother, Mrs. Sarah Weaver, who resides at the Poet home, her 
husband and five sons, as follows:  P*. W., R. C., L. G., M. F. and M. 
K., all of this city. Mrs. Poet was a member of the First Lutheran 
church, and was ever attentive to her duties. She was also a member of 
circle No. 8, Ladies of the G.A.R. The funeral will be public and will 
be held Friday, 2 p.m. in First Lutheran church.
