MRS. ELEANOR POKORNEY.

  At 1 o'clock yesterday afternoon Mrs. Eleanor Pokorney died at the 
residence of her son, Frederick, at 518 Fifth avenue.  The deceased was 
born in Eningen, Kingdom of Wurtemberg, Germany, and was aged 76 years, 
3 months and 24 days.  She came to this country and to Altoona about 
eleven years ago, during these years making her home with her only 
child.  She was esteemed by all who knew her because of her sunny 
disposition and kindly manner and will therefore be much missed by her 
many friends.  Deceased was a faithful member of the Evangelical 
association, which worships at Fifth avenue and Fifth street, where the 
funeral services will be held to-morrow afternoon at 3 o'clock.  
Interment in Oak Ridge cemetery.
