POREMSKY Veteran P. R. R. Engineer Dies In Hospital Frank J. Poremsky, 65, veteran Pittsburgh division engineer who retired on Jan. 26 after 50 years of service, died at 3.40 o'clock yesterday afternoon in the Altoona hospital where he had been a patient since Feb. 14. Mr. Poremsky received the 50-year P. R. R. emblem and was honored by the B. of L. F. & E. for his long service last December. He was born in Altoona Jan. 26, 1888, a son of Peter and Eleanor Poremsky. Surviving are his widow, the former Gertrude Seibert; a son, Joseph E. of Mifflinburg; a daughter Mrs. Bernadette B. Norton of Newark, N. J.; a brother, Joseph of Hollidaysburg; three sisters, Mrs. Annie Tierney of Altoona, Sister M. Claudia, C. S. A., of Beloit, Wis., and Miss Bertha Poremsky of Altoona, and four grandchildren. Mr. Poremsky was a member of St. Mark's Catholic church, the Holy Name society, the Knights of St. George, the B. of L. F. & E., and of the Frohsinn Singing society.
