Mrs. Mary Port, 94, Called by Death

  Mrs. Mary Ellen Port, aged 94. of 1501 Ninth street, for many years a resident 
of Tyrone, died at 5.15 o'clock yesterday afternoon at the Fitzgerald nursing 
home.
  She was born March 25, 1854, in Saulsburg, a daughter of Christian and Martha 
(Barr) Peightal. Her husband, William Port, preceded her in death. Mrs. Port was 
a lifelong member of the First Methodist church, Tyrone, and had resided in 
Altoona for the past 11 years.
  Surviving are two daughters and one son, Mrs. Maud Cameron and Mrs. Grace 
Stryker, both at the home, and John H. Port of Oxford; nine grandchildren, 17 
great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
  Friends will be received at the home after noon Thursday.

FUNERAL NOTICE

PORT - Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Ellen Port of 1501 Ninth street, will be 
held at 1.30 o'clock Friday at the residence in charge of Rev. Russell Williams.  
Interment in Petersburg.  Friends are being received at the residence
