POTE Aged 90, a Bakers Summit retired merchant, who had been in the general merchandising business for 50 years, died at Nason hospital, Roaring Spring, at 10.20 o'clock last night after a brief illness. His wife, Mary Ann Biddle Pote, and a daughter, Grace, aged 10, were killed in an accident 35 years ago when the car in which they were riding was struck by a train. Mr. Pote was born at Bakers Summit, May 9, 1861, the son of Adam and Nancy (Zook) Pote. Surviving are three children, Mrs. Ethel Long of Roaring Spring, Julius V. Pote of Bakers Summit, and Mrs. Orpha Brumbaugh of Altoona; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was a member of the Holsinger Church of the Brethren at Bakers Summit.
