POTE Of 810 Grove St., Roaring Spring, died unexpectedly at his home Monday morning, May 19, 1969. He was born July 5, 1889, at Bakers Summit, the son of Adam and Mary Ann (Biddle) Pote. He was twice married, to Gussie Sanders, then to Mary Stout. Both preceded him in death. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Long of Roaring Spring and Mrs. Orpha Brumbaugh of Altoona. Mr. Pote was a member of the Holsinger Church of the Brethren, Bakers Summit. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the Veteran's Association, Veterans of World War I, the Roaring Spring American Legion and the Martinsburg VFW. Mr. Pote was also a member of the National Association of Civil Employes District Postmasters. He formerly operated a general store at Bakers Summit. Friends will be received in the Thompson Funeral Home, Roaring Spring, from 4 to 10 p.m. today.
