JUNIATA RAY POTE Died Friday afternoon at 2.30 o'clock at the home of her son, D. Earl Pote, at Roaring Spring, R.D. 1, death being attributed to a complication of ailments. She was the daughter of David and Sarah (Wilt) Ray and was born in Taylor township on June 4, 1867. She was united in marriage with Michael S. Pote on Aug. 21, 1884, in Altoona, by Rev. Joseph S. Wilt. Surviving are two sons, Jesse W. and D. Earl Pote, both of Roaring Spring, R.D. 1; one daughter, Mrs. Florence Ray Kennedy; one brother, Philip P. Ray of Tyrone; one sister, Mrs. Ed E. Appleman of Bakers Summit, and eight grandchildren and one great- grandchildren. She was educated in the Walter school in Taylor township and was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran church at Barley's Corner, Bakers Summit, and was active in the work of the church and of the Aid society. Friends will be received at the home of her son, D. Earl Pote, at Roaring Spring, R.D. 1, after 7 o'clock this evening. POTE - Funeral services for Mrs. Juniata (Ray) Pote will be conducted Monday afternoon at 2.30 o'clock in the Holsinger Church of the Brethren in charge of Rev. D. L. Shaffer of Martinsburg. Interment in the Holsinger cemetery. Friends are being received at the home of D. E. Pote of Roaring Spring, R.D., after 7 o'clock this evening. Altoona Mirror, August 17, 1946
