He was a faithful member of the Church of the Brethren and is survived by his wife and two sons, Jesse and D. Earl, both of Potetown. One brother, William S. Pote of Altoona, also survives. He was the son of Michael and Elizabeth Pote and had resided in the vicinity of Ore Hill all his life. For some years he was employed by Peter S. Duncan at Ore Hill but more recently was engaged in farming. He was a kind husband and father and a good neighbor and his death caused much sorrow in the community where he lived all his life.
