Pressel, a former resident of this city, died at his home in Philadelphia on Friday after a brief illness. Deceased was aged about 48 years and during his residence here was a telegraph operator. For the past twenty years he had resided in Philadelphia. The remains were brought to this city yesterday afternoon and interment made in Fairview cemetery. Mr. Pressel spent the early years of his life here and, up until some twenty years ago, was a telegraph operator, employed by the railroad company here at B telegraph office. After leaving here he was employed for a time at the old PS telegraph office in Broad Street station, Philadelphia, but later went west and again to the north. He was aged about 48 years. While in Altoona, Mr. Pressel married Miss Lytle, a daughter of the late B. F. Lytle, then city engineer of this city. The body arrived here on the 3:51 train from Philadelphia yesterday afternoon and was interred in Fairview cemetery. Altoona Times, Altoona, Pa., Tuesday, April 22, 1913, page 7
