EDS TRIBUNE: On last Saturday evening, November 29, the death angel called little Daisy Grace, eldest daughter of Thomas M. and Martha Pressell, from her earthly to a brighter and a heavenly home. Daisy was born July 30, 1881, and died on November 29, 1890, at the age of 9 years, 3 months and 29 days. This little one was considered very bright and intelligent and the void left in this household can never be filled. She was a member of the First Lutheran Sunday school and a regular attendant when in health. She was also a member of the catechetical class in the same church. Being also an attendant of the Sixth ward school, she was known by a great many persons, both old and young, and none had aught to say but good words of her. She had been troubled with heart disease for a year or more and some two weeks since she was attacked with that terrible disease - diphtheria. Being naturally week, her little system could not sustain the severe shock; consequently at 6.35 o'clock on Saturday evening she fell asleep, from which she will know no awakening until the Savior shall call all to the judgment seat, there to receive their rewards or penalties. But what consolation to the parents it is to know that Daisy's shall be a crown of glory instead of perhaps years of toil and trouble in this world for those whom she left behind. On Monday morning the little funeral cortege left the parents' home, No. 2300 Seventh avenue, and proceeded to Claysburg, where in the Lutheran cemetery her little body was laid beside that of her little brother who had been accidentally killed in this city some three years since. Thus we are reminded that one by one both old and young are passing from this life unto the tomb, where all the family may again be reunited at the throne of God. A.L.A.
