MRS. E. J. PRESTON.

  Mrs. E. J. Preston, a former school teacher of this city, died suddenly 
at Waukashaw, Wis., yesterday.  She went west in the hope of regaining 
her health.  She is survived by two children, Ross J. Preston, who is in 
an officers' training camp at Louisville, Ky., and Helen, at home in 
Ithaca, N.Y.  She is also survived by these brothers and sisters: Mrs. 
Anna Garth, Mrs. C. T. Weiss and L. M. McKane, of Altoona, and W. S. 
McKane, of Hartford, Conn.  Mr. and Mrs. A. L. McKane left last night for 
Amenia, N.Y. to attend the funeral and where interment will be made.
