Frank Preston, a prominent physician and surgeon of Utica, died at his home, 906 Albany street, that city, on last Thursday of diabetes and pneumonia. Deceased was born in De Ruyter, N. Y., on November 7, 1863, was graduated from the University of Vermont and Dartmouth college and took up the practice of medicine in Utica in 1890, establishing a large practice. On November 7, 1900, he was married in Altoona to Mrs. Anna C. McFarlane, who survives with two sons, Kenneth and Keith. Another son H. Frank, jr., died sir years ago. Dr. Preston had been in poor health for some time but continued his practice until he contracted a severe cold several weeks ago since which time he failed rapidly. He was a member of Albany Street Baptist church, the Odd Fellows, the Medical societies and other organizations of the city. Public funeral services were conducted at the home Sunday afternoon followed by private interment in Forest Hill cemetery, Utica, N. Y. Altoona Tribune, Altoona, Pa., Monday, January 3, 1916, page 12
