Wopsononock Ave., died at 6 a.m. today in Altoona Hospital where he was admitted yesterday. He was born at Lewisburg Dec. 3, 1889, a son of Charles E. and Florence (Zearfoss) Pross. He was twice married. His first wife, Mabel Rebecca Irvin, died in 1920. He was married in 1927 to the former Helen Daugherty, who survives along with five sons, John Z. of Erie, James Z. and Donald E., both of Altoona, William, serving with the U.S. Navy, and Charles E. at home; two daughters, Betty, at home, and Mrs. Madeline Smeltzer of Altoona; two brothers, John of Altoona and Cleon of Toledo, Ohio, and 15 grandchildren. A well-known musician of the area, he was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church and the Men's Bible Class. Mr. Pross was a retired machinist from Juniata machine shop 1, P.R.R.
